Today marked our first day mentoring at @generalsc

Today marked our first day mentoring at @generalsconnect. We've worked on this venture for 2+ years.

Just like we teach our youth. When challenges come and you believe in your purpose and where your opportunity lies, stay the course! Keep your faith running hot and press forward.🙏🏾 Keep believing!

We reconnected with some students today from other elementary schools, and we were all excited to see each other. The smiles on these boys' faces say it all, and we love it!!

We have a total of 27 students starting today and room for more.

A special thank you to Dr. Brown, the new principal, and Ms. Carrington, the lead counselor... We can't thank you enough for the opportunity to serve the students to lift them up to reach their fullest potential in/out of school.

A huge part of how we mentor at @legacydrivenyouth

A huge part of how we mentor at @legacydrivenyouth and teach our youth at Impact S.T.E.A.M. is to make sure they enjoy themselves and their classmates during our timeframe of instruction. Whether we’re in a school mentoring at the STEAM Academy at @impactgwinnett or our own after-school programs, we want learning to be fun. Academics and the progress of learning are always at the forefront, but after that, let’s have a good time together (see the video).

To listen and watch our children (yes, our H.S. Youth Assistants, too🤣), is what we love about the culture of giving we’ve set for the children we serve. The memories and enrichment they receive will sustain and encourage them when needed in their lifetimes. That’s being Legacy Driven. That’s being impactful!🙏🏾

@legacydrivenyouth has been operating, coaching, and guiding youth since 2018 to be their greatest self! We're not focused on the quantity of children but the quality in which we serve them and provide mentoring. To be clear, we set and/or reset trajectories with our youth to reach their goals in life. This is a calling, a vision, so we flow accordingly!💪🏾💯

Let me say, the partnership with Impact S.T.E.A.M. Academy at @impactgwinnett has truly proven to be God sent! As the founder and servant of this great organization with our board and others, this partnership is producing great young boys and girls and to see them enjoying, smiling, focused and more while learning is awesome to watch.

We can't forget to mention our @shsgenerals Youth Assistants. It's been an honor to coach and watch them reach higher as young people in how they manage themselves with our youth! Micah, Jaeda, Kimaya, Rialey, Chase, and our newest assistant from @stephensonhsjags Zyerra.

About 2 years ago, I started hearing one of my mentors say, "Take over your community. Let the vision God gave you shine brightly for others where you reside." Well, @wileyjackson, we heard you. We are moving forward in that mindset.
