High School Session (Part 2) – April 27th, 2024 

Many of our boys are struggling to find their way and grab a hold of something or even someone positive for a better future. Social media influence, allowing others negativity to become a pattern in their own lives, lack of a positive male presence and the inability to manage one’s emotions are some of the things causing our boys to go astray!

Topic: “My Mental Health Matters”

Cost: Free (includes lunch)  Time: 11am-1pm  Capacity: 25 (first-come, first-serve)

MENTORING SESSIONS

  • Mentoring Schedule (also on our Events page):

    • In-person bi-weekly mentoring for 2nd semester 2024 during lunch (dates subject to change)
      • January – 10th, 24th
      • February – 7th, 21st
      • March – 6th, 20th
      • April – 10th, 24th
      • May – 1st, 8th
    • Virtual mentoring is held monthly on every 3rd Thursday from 7pm-745pm on the dates below on ZOOM.
      • March 21st

    • After-School Program from 345pm-530pm
      • April 18th

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Avanada & InterConnection awarded Legacy Driven with 15 laptops that our youth can utilize without the restrictions of their school laptops. They will be used for subscription based learning, online assignments to assist with reading and math skills and more.
  • National Historically Black College & University Alumni Associations Foundation, Inc. (NHBCUAAF) has awarded Legacy Driven with a stipend to continue to promote HBCUs and what they offer to youth from 4th-12th grades.
  • We continue to support IMPACT S.T.E.A.M. Academy of Snellville, GA with academic, social/emotional learning and more during their after-school program. They are also one of our community partners.
